I bought this as a replacement for the factory charger that Olympus sends with the Olympus E-PL1. I got tired of having to plug in a cable just to plug in a charger and thought there had to be a better one out there. I found this and the reviews seemed good so I figured I would try it out. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! It's so nice not having that stupid cable in the wall. It charges without any problems and I would definitely recommend this if you're hesitant. I will most likely be buying another as soon as I buy another battery!

I purchased this to charge my BLS-5 and aftermarket battery for my Olympus e-pl2. Like the title says, it's cheap and it works. I have to ding the plug prongs for not properly fitting into electrical outlets. They are just a tad too narrow, so the charger tends to pop out of wall sockets easily. Also, it smells ''electrical'' when it use. It's possible the converter components are cheap - possible fire hazard? Hope not! Fortunately, it doesn't get hot (at least not that I've noticed).
