Getting the most out of your Accessory Power Canon BP-827 replacement digital camcorder battery
1. For new BP-827 equivalent batteries, it is important to exercise the battery by providing a full charge and then allowing the battery to completely discharge. If you complete this cycle 2 to 4 times with you new Canon BP-827 replacement battery it will allow it to reach its maximum rated capacity.
2. Proper treatment of your Canon BP-827 replacement digital camera battery will extend its life significantly. Cleaning dirty contacts with isopropyl alcohol will help maintain a good connection with your digital camera or camcorder.
3. Do not set metallic objects on the connectors and try to take care not to drop or otherwise disassemble the BP-827 battery pack.
4. In order to maintain the maximum charge possible on a BP-827 replacement battery you are not using frequently it is a good idea to charge and discharge the battery at least once every two to three weeks.
5. Accessory Power Canon BP-827 replacement batteries are rated to maintain a charge at up to 1000 charge cycles. If you find your battery is no longer able to maintain its charge and you are under warranty coverage Accessory Power will replace your battery free of charge.
6. When storing your BP-827 equivalent battery you should choose a clean, dry place that stays relatively cool (optimal temperature would be about 60° Fahrenheit). You do not want to store your batteries completely discharged; 50% of its charge is the optimal.
7. After storing your BP-827 equivalent batteries for a long period you will notice the charge will have depleted over time and will require recharging. Li-Ion batteries typically self-discharge over time and the process is completely natural.
