The item is just as described. Not fancy, but very functional. It is holding up well after two long trips (with both myself and two younger children making heavy use of the case).

This was an excellent value. I love the Nook cover and the fit is very nice. I'm able to carry and use the Nook more with it, and now feel better about just tossing the Nook in my knapsack wherever I'm going without it getting scratched up. The extra cable was also a bonus, you always need those!
