This thing is awesome! It's compact, well made, and solves the problem of solar powering the devices that I manufacture. The battery capacity 'bar graph' is a really nice feature. The description says that you can only get 50% charge from the sun, but according to the battery capacity meter, I have achieved 100% charge from the sun. I haven't even tried charging this thing from anything else but the sun (not from USB nor from AC). I was able to power my device all night and the thing still indicated 100% charge! I'm quite happy with it. BTW: my device runs on about 30 to 40 ma @ 5 volts. The only thing missing (for me) is a cable that goes from USB A to a 2.1mm male barrel connector, but what the heck, the description says it's for charging cell phones and such, so no complaints ;)

This is one of the niftiest purchases I've ever made. I bought it to use at our cabin in case of a power outage or forgetting my cords. It charges up pretty quickly in the sun, and very quickly when plugged into a power outlet. It has charged my phone and my iPod very well and quickly enough that I can hook it up, work on a project, and come back to find it charged. I haven't tried it on my Kindle yet, which will be the ultimate challenge, since Kindles don't charge very quickly. We shall see, but I have full confidence in it. I like the versatility that it offers, with a cord that actually fits my phone, plus the other cord that works with any USB- charged piece of electronics. I give it 5 stars all around- it's so compact, it's no bigger than an iPhone, so it's portable anywhere. Also, the little LED light that's included, is supposed to last up to 60 hours. It's always good to have an extra light source for emergencies.

I use it casually so I can't say how it would do if you were to take a week long camping trip. For my uses it's great. I usually just leave it on top of my dashboard to charge during the day when I'm at work, and use it to charge my phone and iPod before I go out for the night. It takes a lot of time for the charge, but for the price you can't beat it.

Package arrived promptly. Simple instructions if you are use to handling electronic gear. Charger is not much larger than an iPhone. Has an AC adapter to keep the little charger on full charge on cloudy days. I use my iPhone cord with the charger because the supplied cords do not fit. Uses a USB terminal to charge the iPhone from the charger. I can also use it with my older V350 Motorola cell phone as well. That's an added perk, too. Though it only charges up an iPhone to 50%, it will keep the voltage sucking iPhone battery lasting a lot longer than without it. Will use a thick sock cut to fit to put the charger in when not in use, so the solar panel face doesn't get scratched or stained.

The ReVive Solar ReStore external battery pack is a very handy travel tool. This thing stores power for recharging cell phones, cameras and golf GPS'. I love it. Wish I had it years ago. It is a great power source for phones/cameras, etc when traveling to Europe. The sun shines everywhere! I recommend it to anyone.
