    In our experience, this inverter had no problem powering a macbook pro during our travels (of course the engine had to be running to power the inverter). Yes, the inverter has an internal fan...but this fan is quiet enough so that you don't notice it, especially with tire noise, HVAC noise, and when the radio is on.

    Plugged it into the outlet on a sailboat and ran iTunes on a MacBook Pro with USB speakers powered thru the laptop. The laptop's battery stayed topped off and the current draw on the boat's battery was close to nil.

    It has worked great so far and I've had it for a couple months so far. I hooked a power strip up to it and charged my netbook, phone, tablet, and portable speakers all at the same time. Love this adapter

    This product does exactly what it says it will do. It is easy to use and great to have when travelling. I highly recommend it for anyone traveling with electronics.
